The Headless Horseman, on horseback

His films

From Soviet hits to Hollywood

He worked in more than 50 films on both sides of the Iron Curtain.

A prince, a saga hero, a cowboy

In Moscow he played a fairy-tale prince, a Scandinavian saga hero, a cowboy and a policeman in disguise. Soviet actors were rarely allowed to work abroad, and he still made films in Denmark and Yugoslavia.

After 1985 he started again in America, in smaller parts, and appeared in The West Wing and Alias.

The years below are the ones the memoir gives.
